Working with Standard Chartered Bank, graduate-MBA, good family background, and of marriageable age - a perfect concoction to get married in 2003 and this is what Sangeeta’s family also thought about her.
Sangeeta married in 2003 & immediately moved to Mumbai from Delhi where his husband was working with a large private sector Bank. She tried her hands as an investment advisor but now with a son, & husband transferred back to Delhi, she had to fold up before she could even barely start.
Life went on - she was now blessed with 2 kids - a son & a daughter. A joint family meant she was occupied, but still empty somewhere. Her husband was doing well as a banker but he always wanted to do something of his own. Sensing his passionate need, she could see something could be built up with her husband’s network and their joint skills.
It was she who gave the name BANKERBHAI. It occurred to her that her husband keeps on giving pretty friendly advises on finance matters any time he was asked for. Even if he was not fluent with the subject matter asked, he would go out of the way to find someone to satisfy the query. Hence a BHAI, elder brother to all & also a BANKER - this is how, BANKERBHAI was born.
BankerBhai was conceived & is being developed as a platform that would connect the experts on various types of products & services with the users who would need those services or need understanding on those products. The experts would get a profile page of their own and they could contribute through articles, their thoughts, making offers for various services they are experts on, answering queries on their subjects asked by various users. BankerBhai also contains lots of financial calculators aimed to ease the financial thought process of a layman.
Coming up with BankerBhai kind of platform was not easy. The couple had management experience, they had the product experience but they never had technical background nor any knowledge about how websites are made & promoted.
Sangeeta Verma took this challenge upon herself & learnt website development & digital marketing at the age where her kids were also learning the same thing. She started writing content for BankerBhai, started doing social media marketing, started doing the SEO work. As BankerBhai was new & still building some traction, she had time available with her She soon realized that many low quality operators operated in the market offering these services but without even knowing the basics of what they were doing. She sensed an opportunity & started her own digital marketing agency, digiDZN.
Very soon she felt the need for an extra hand. She was joined by her school-time friend who worked from home & helped her write content as she on boarded few more clients. She got clients not only from India but from US as well. One opportunity led to the another, and what started as a single person initiative, is now a 10-member team including herself in 1 year alone.
Starting up professionally & growing like this took a lot of time from her already busy schedule of managing home & kids. This truly brought the best out in her. She has taken up on herself to increase the business & the team size multi fold in next 1 year.

Dr. Mahesh Gupta, founder of KENT RO systems, started his venture in 1999 from a small garage at his house in Delhi, where he designed the purifiers. With no formal training in this field, he learnt the tricks of the trade through reference books, Internet research for innovations, and visiting industries and markets. In 2018, KENT RO Systems closed a revenue of Rs. 1000 crore and currently enjoys 35% market share in the RO space.
Mahesh Gupta, a first-generation entrepreneur, is known worldwide for revolutionizing the water purification industry in India. He is the Founder-Chairman of Kent RO Systems Ltd., India's leading water Purifier Company. Mr. Gupta, an IIT graduate from Kanpur in Mechanical Engineering and an alumnus of Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun, began his early career in 1978 with prestigious IOCL. In 1988 he bid goodbye to the oil sector giant and with a minimal seed capital at his disposal, ventured into the business of manufacturing instruments for oil testing and checking its pilferage. He went commercial under the brand name KENT OIL METERS which went on to be a successful business.
In 1998, Mr. Mahesh Gupta entered the health care segment and launched the first domestic RO water purifier. He started the company from a scratch and competing with the leading national & international brands, Kent RO Systems Ltd. is today the leading and most dynamic water purifier company in India, commanding a market share of about 40% in RO water purifier segment. In recognition of his contribution to the water purification industry, he is known as the PURE WATER MAN of India.Mr.Gupta has also been conferred upon by an Honorary Doctorate degree by Sri Sri University Orissa, for his contribution in providing safe and healthy drinking water in Rural and Urban areas.
Mr. Mahesh Gupta has more than half a dozen patent technologies to his credit, a manifestation to his passion for technological quest and an innovative bent of mind. With ambitious growth plan, innovative marketing strategies and state-of-the-art technology, Mr. Gupta is today a man on fast track. Mr. Gupta also takes out time to guide young minds and channelize their energy in right direction, through guest lectures at several MBA institutes and entrepreneurship development programs. He has also opted to be a mentor under the IIT Alumni Association.
He also spearheads PHD Chamber of Commerce as its President. PHD is a proactive and dynamic organization working at the grass-root level and with strong national and international linkages and playing a role as a catalyst in the promotion of industry, trade and entrepreneurship.
